February 3, 2010 – Day 8 – David dug the hole for the mailbox and got it set next to the road. We also got our first mail at the new house today.
February 4, 2010 – Day 9 – After having to haul our laundry up and down the steps to the basement of the old house, I am so glad to have the washer and dryer on the main level again. It’s also wonderful having water pressure – the clothes get done much quicker.
February 5, 2010 – Day 10 – For the last week, we haven’t had an oven, so we’ve had to improvise and used our crockpot, george foreman grill, electric skillet, microwave or toaster oven at meals, but this hole in the cabinets will soon be filled because we bought a stove today. YAY!!
February 6, 2010 – Day 11 – Another thing that I have been very excited about it having a dishwasher. It’s the only appliance that came with the house, but after having to handwash dishes for the last few years, having a dishwasher is a wonderful luxury.
February 7, 2010 – Day 12 – We spent a couple of hours the last two days working on running ethernet cables into the walls. The original plan was to run it into the existing cable and phone jacks, but that only worked in one room. The rest of the jacks were placed in freshly-cut holes.
February 8, 2010 – Day 13 – While I am at work David finishes up the newly ran ethernet cable jacks. This is the one in my scrapbooking room and the only one we didn’t cut a new hole for.
February 9, 2010 – Day 14 – We finally get curtains hung in the living room - at least for the time being.
