I highlighted several verses today and enjoyed reading through some familiar stories. That being said, the verse that stood out to me the most tonight was Genesis 15: 13-14:
"Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a county not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions."
I know that God has always had a plan for his people, but even before Abraham had any children God had already told him what was coming - WOW! So amazing. I definitely didn't catch this the first time I read through, so this was a pretty cool lesson today.
