Verses that stood out:
1 Chronicles 28:9b
Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

Psalm 4:4
Don't sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent.

Both of these verses are from King David. The first verse is while he is talking to his son Solomon right before Solomon becomes king. This verse just serves as a reminder that the Lord always knows what we are thinking even if those around us don't.

The verse in Psalms stood out to me because it seems like anger is something that most everyone deals with at some time - whether it is over something major or something small. How much better would our relationships with our families be if we just stopped to let the anger subside before we lost our tempers - especially over the small things in life. It's so much better to enjoy our families and to enjoy life.
